Ever walked through Poole Bus Station and felt threatened by the youth of today that hang around there?

If you have, then don’t even try to walk through the bus station to Poole Park through the underpass beneath Seldown Bridge.

I have walked through here on many an occasion over the last couple of months as I recently moved close to the park.

To my disgust I found myself surrounded by youngsters who seem to just sit on the grass hills either side of the bus station side entrance of the underpass heavy petting, smoking and littering the place.

It is bad enough that they are doing all this and look like a swarm of ants on a hill with their black hoodies and massive jeans on, but the council also pay for a teenage work group to come with their van to sit there with them in case they need advice!

When on earth are parents going to take responsibility for their kids? And when is the government going to stop wasting my tax on these things and use it for things that really matter?

It’s about time the council did something about these youths that situate themselves on the grass here, especially when it’s the part of Poole that holidaymakers coming from the town centre or from buses have to walk through to get to our beautiful Poole Park.

I have on many occasion taken the longer route to the park once I have seen these kids loitering around. Not only is it unsociable behaviour but it also gives our town a bad name.
