In reply to the letter about ‘invaders’ on the walls of Wareham, what nonsense! (Have Your Say, July 15).
Surely four ponies grazing on the walls are doing far less damage than a council mower or groups of tourist who are incouraged to walk across them as a daily occurrence? And as for the Saxons turning in their graves at the thought of ponies grazing on the walls, it would have been a normal sight for them as this would have been their only form of transport.
The only thing that may make them turn is the thought of some do-gooder digging holes in their precious walls to put trees in.
