A young person is not allowed to obtain a car licence before their 17th birthday yet there appears to be no restriction at the other end of the spectrum.
From the time the DVLA requires renewal of a driving licence (currently age 70), a doctor’s certificate should only be granted following a comprehensive medical test – renewed at regular intervals.
