On Saturday November 14 I rang the police to notify them of a huge branch which had broken away from a large pine tree during the winds and was hanging by a thread about 20ft high above the Matchams Lane.
If it fell it would drop like a stone onto the very busy lane and could cause a very nasty accident.
Another branch was straddling the overhead wires.
I repeated the call on Sunday and twice on Monday, with no success.
I then decided to ring Christchurch council, Tuesday and Wednesday, to no avail.
As of Wednesday night the bough was still hanging precariously above the lane and no one seemed to have come to assess it.
I stressed in each call it could cause a very nasty accident if it fell.
I just don’t know what else to do.
