IN reply to Christine Oliver’s letter, I would like to write in defence of Mr Atley. At least he has had the courage to stand against Waitrose, and has stuck to his guns.
OK we will have a small park area, but we will also have bland looking supermarket dominating our historical town.
I suggest Mrs Oliver takes off the rose coloured specs and considers the reality of severely congested roads into Wimborne, an unattractive car park, and a building so close to the care home behind it, it will take most of the sunlight from the residents garden.
Over half of Wimborne voted against Waitrose.
