The New Forest Veterans of Normandy are a very well established organisation which was formed to perpetuate the history of the Battle of Normandy, 1944, and to maintain the fellowship and comradeship of the Spirit of Normandy.
Our membership is open to all those who share our objectives and would be willing to help facilitate this by assisting in the smooth running of the organisation, and take over the responsibilities of management, if and when the occasion arises.
Full membership is open to all Normandy Veterans from the Army, Royal Navy or the Royal Air Force, and associate membership for anyone who served in any of the services in World War Two and after, and also those others who are willing to assist in any way, may enrol as ‘Friends’.
A Normandy Pilgrimage is organised annually, various events and visits are undertaken throughout the year, and many service charities have benefited from our collections.
All those who feel they can make a positive contribution and to the future of our organisation are requested in the first instance to contact our Hon Secretary veteran Ernest Stack on 01425 654463.
E J THURSTON, chairman, Highcliffe, Christchurch
