So despite admitting he parked at a bus stop to buy a newspaper Mr Ryder (Parking fines set to be refunded? Daily Echo, August 6) thinks he has been unfairly fined!
Do tell us Mr Ryder, just why you think the law shouldn’t apply to you. Presumably you have been driving for many years and are aware of the Highway Code?
It is precisely this attitude, coupled with the lack of sufficient resources for proper enforcement, that is causing the chaotic situation on our roads every day.
Through the attitude of you, and many others like you, buses are frequently unable to pull in to pick up passengers, causing unnecessary congestion.
Consider also for one moment the wheelchair user who cannot get on the bus because it cannot get to the kerb. I know because I have been in that position!
Stop complaining and take responsibility.
Mr J R Sherman, Somerset Road, Boscombe
