So some people may claim for refunds of their parking fines on a technicality.
Let’s face the facts, they were fined for parking where they weren’t supposed to, ie outside schools – remember the recent Echo Parking Mad campaign? – and on bus stops.
Their excuse? There wasn’t a sign to say they may be photographed.
Please! They knew when they parked they shouldn’t have, so what do they have to complain about?
The alternative is more signs, more children endangered at schools, more gridlocked traffic.
Let’s face it, rules are there for everyone’s good. If you get caught face the music – you are wrong and you know it.
Whilst I sympathise with Mr Ryder, the disabled motorist who parked at a bus stop to get his paper, I suggest he takes his complaint, if he is a registered disabled driver, to the shop or the local authority and complain about the lack of disabled parking in this area.
