I WRITE in response to a recent article, which claimed that ‘unsellable tat’ is costing charity shops thousands of pounds. I’d like to assure readers that we at PDSA don’t take that view.
Poole PDSA shop is always appealing for people to have a sort-out and to donate any unwanted items, including clothes, books and CDs to help raise funds to treat sick and injured pets in the local area.
We certainly don’t feel that these donations are draining PDSA’s funds or our volunteers’ time.
In fact any donations that are not suitable for sale can be recycled, raising extra funds for the charity.
Our stock collector can pick up donations in various areas of town. Alternatively, items can be brought into the shop, Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 5pm.
Located at 135 High Street, Poole PDSA shop raises funds to help care for sick and injured pets at Bournemouth PDSA PetAid hospital.
