I am writing to express my objection to the proposed quarry at Parley Court Farm.

As a local resident I have spoken to many people who live near by and have no idea of the plans for Parley Court Farm becoming a quarry and landfill site.

This site is unsuitable for many reasons.

This part of the River Stour is home to kingfishers, otters, rare moths and many more species.

The Stour Valley Local Nature Reserve, which is situated opposite the proposed site, has 18 nationally significant dragonfly and damselfly species, 25 butterfly species and 116 bird species, 50 of which breed on the reserve.

It has also won prestigious Green Flags in 2007 and 2008.

Having a large quarry on the opposite bank, which will be filled with rubbish, will be very detrimental to its future.

I am also concerned as a local resident at the noise, dust and smell which will come across the river to the many houses on this side, as well as the Epiphany Primary.

I feel also the road adjacent to the airport and along to Parley traffic lights is already congested enough.
