How unwelcoming is the car parking in Bournemouth for an evening?

We were going to a show. We tried the car parks behind the Pavilion as we needed to be close as could not walk far.

Both of these cost £10 for the four hours from 7pm and the machines would only accept coins (who has £10 in coins?) or pay by phone which I was not set up for.

Lots of people were sharing our struggles trying find enough coins.

The council keep putting up the fees making lots of money but do not have machines that accept notes.

We gave up and parked at the Central Car Park and struggled down the steps.

No lights on the steps, a real hazard. Where are health and safety considerations?

Thank you Bournemouth Council for making us late for the show and for spoiling the evening. Can you please get your act together?
