I WISH to express publicly a very big thank you to the managing team and all volunteers who organised the recent Shake & Stir vintage musical festival in Southbourne.
What an amazing show for the local community to enjoy and be involved with.
Run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis to provide exposure for Southbourne businesses and community, it has grown into an exceptional showcase for local bands, business and services.
The Chair and all who contributed to this three-day festival must be congratulated.
Whether it was the music and dancing in the closed high street or the same in Fisherman’s Walk, it represented a superb programme.
The use of Fisherman’s Walk as it was intended illustrates how this outstanding glade with its bandstand provides the perfect setting for such a festival.
Well done Southbourne, you rock!
