WE are always hearing about cyclists speeding on the prom at a great rate of knots, but it now seems joggers are also causing problems - or at least one jogger in our experience.

While on the prom at Southbourne, we were taking our grandchildren down onto the beach late in the afternoon, when there were not many people around.

As our three-year-old granddaughter made her way over to the beach, a male jogger ran past knocking her off her feet, not bothering to see if she was ok.

The few people who were around to witness this incident were astounded at such a cruel act.

So although we are asking cyclists to be more considerate when on the prom, please joggers too, take more care - everyone has a right to walk on the prom in safety.
