WHO would have dreamt that, in 2017, a town synonymous with the wealth of Canford Cliffs and Sandbanks, and the manufacture of luxury boats for millionaires, would see the council defending itself against the closure of public toilets.
Imagine prisoners being denied immediate access to such facilities or MPs or MEPs in the marbled halls of Westminster and Brussels being told to ask shopkeepers for permission to spend a penny.
Heads would roll and their rights would soon be addressed.
Perhaps the recent 150 per cent increase in car parking charges could be spent on returning things back to normal.
