I READ with interest that Borough of Poole is to replace beach huts in Canford Cliffs at a cost of £5.4 million to include cafe and outside terrace.
I would like to know how the council can afford this money when it is closing toilets at Baiter and elsewhere to save £300,000.
Are the rest of Poole council taxpayers not as important as those in Canford Cliffs?
Also, as they have now realised, spending £250,000 on painting the entrance to the Civic Centre should have been made available for keeping toilets open.
It’s about time the council taxpayers were consulted on what their money is earmarked for before rather than after it’s a done deal.
