MY partner and I decided to take in some sea air on Christmas Day and headed for Mudeford Quay.
The weather was good, if chilly, and everyone we met was in party mood and full of festive cheer.
I was more than surprised, however, to find we had to pay for parking.
Surely the council could forego filling their coffers on Christmas Day?
Eager as they seemed to be not to lose out on a day’s revenue, all the public toilets were locked and barred causing distress and downright anger by some - especially wheelchair users.
There were no cafes or restaurants open either.
This mean attitude was disappointing and I can only hope for a little more generosity and Christmas spirit next year.
