AFTER reading your excellent report regarding certain councillors not paying their council tax charges on time and the later letter (December 1) by Phil Dunn suggesting they resign, I wholeheartedly agree that they should.
They are elected by local people to represent us in an honest and democratic way, and as Mr Dunn rightly states, they set the rates and their ridiculous excuses bear no accountability.
I do believe Mr Dunn when he says he has no political gain from this. I think, like myself, he would want to see accountability.
There is no excuse for councillors to act in this way as their monies are paid by us.
How can you trust people like this to run our town?
