ENGLAND’S dismal performance against Iceland clearly shows the disadvantages of buying foreign players into the Premier League.

While foreign stars may be good for club business, it such practice of buying in these players denies many of our younger home-grown players the experience and competition we need to develop at international level.

Let’s get some sense into the wage structure we pay the likes of ‘old man’ Rooney at club level and use the massive amounts of cash available in football to build up training and academies where home-grown stars can be born!
