I HAVE to agree with the comments by Sally Wilton concerning her dismay at the West Central building in Bournemouth (Daily Echo, June 8).

The beauty of modern architecture is that it does not last very long.

Inevitably, the buildings are demolished i.e. many tower blocks, shopping centres, and, of course, a certain Imax.

Architects no longer appear to have the skills necessary to design buildings that other people can appreciate, or feel comfortable with.

Here in Poole, we have the old power station site awaiting development.

Should be interesting.
