I AM a resident of Springbourne.
Every day, I leave my house and encounter fresh dogs’ mess on the pavement daily.
There clearly are dog owners who take no responsibility for their pets, and flagrantly disregard the Clean Neighbourhoods And Environment Act 2005, by not even attempting to clear up after their dogs.
I have contacted Bournemouth Council and been told that since they do not know who is responsible, they cannot do anything, and, furthermore, cannot afford a dog warden to patrol the area and catch the culprits.
It seems to me that the council do not wish to even try. They only want to save money.
I believe that public opinion could sway them into reacting in a more appropriate manner.
What about other Bournemouth Echo readers?
So, I would like to suggest that the residents of Bournemouth actively petition such a change.
