HAVING read the article in the Daily Echo on May 18, I feel the need to write, and ask who on earth has come up with the ludicrous idea of rearranging our NHS hospital in Poole, which does a sterling job, and thinks that bigger is best?

The RBH is so well placed on the very east end of the county to be the furthest away from the people who rely on the service.

To maintain an efficient service to which everyone has easy access, to my mind, is the correct way to operate, and to make decisions on cost-cutting, which clearly this is, can only be classed as reprehensible.

At the moment I have a vested interested in seeing Poole Hospital maintained as it is, and possibly increased to manage more treatment, as at present I am undergoing chemotherapy at the Dorset Cancer Centre, which is one of the finest facilities in the country where the treatment and care are second to none.

To take away any of the facilities from Poole will leave patients seriously at risk.

I feel that the faceless wonders that make these ludicrous decisions seem to think they have the right to play the Grim Reaper with other people’s lives.

Poole Hospital must stay and be given the necessary ability to serve and care for the people of Poole and West Dorset.
