Treatment excellent - but not surgery receptionists
I WAS interested to read the letter from Bill Bishop (‘Funding too late for some’, Letters, April 23). I had the same problem with my surgery.
On December 18, 2015 I asked for an appointment and was given one for January 7, 2016. With a little insistence on my part I got an appointment on December 23 and was admitted to the Ansty Ward at Poole Hospital with atrial fibrillation.
On February 2 I had a cardiovascular procedure which corrected the rhythm of my heart. The treatment in Poole Hospital was excellent. I cannot say the same for the receptionists at my local surgery.
