I ALWAYS sent my children to school when they felt ill, with the proviso to come home at lunchtime if they still felt unwell. They never did.

Were they just lucky or is the demand for antibiotics treatment anything to do with kids not building up immunity to bugs because they don’t come into contact with enough bugs of them any more?
