A LITTERING epidemic is sweeping through our region.
Lately, action has been taken against it, but I have yet to hear who has been penalised for it.
What is littering? I believe that it is a heart disease. Within one’s heart one is saying ‘See if I care!’.
The Sunday school used to be very efficient at changing hearts for the better, but these are now poorly attended as well as churches.
I came across people who neatly folded their empty crisp packet and threw it on the pavement. I saw a man place his empty can of soda upright on the side of the road and left it there. The list of such events are endless.
I conclude that an uncaring disposition is at the centre of this phenomenon. A change of heart is needed somehow.
