HAVING recently moved to Bournemouth, I am amazed at the level of traffic. I have lived in London, Glasgow and Europe and think this is worse than anything I have seen considering its supposed to be a seaside resort.
I notice that the locals constantly blame the council, road workers, leaves, everybody else. I live on a particularly busy road and I look at the traffic passing I am amazed at the number of cars with single occupancy. I reckon around 95 per cent.
So to all those drivers who like to moan and complain, do something about it yourself, find a workmate and car-share. But I personally think you lot live in the “it’s somebody else’s responsibility” world. Car-sharing will decrease the congestion, and help the environment. But I think I hope too much.
