LAST year we filled out questionnaires by Poole council for Ashley Road improvements.
We in particular supported a better high street environment with trees.
We said in our questionnaires : “yes please, more trees”.
We assumed that was living trees.
No-one said there was a choice between “dead” or “living” trees.
So sorry to be sarcastic, but it really is very poor of Poole council that of four trees put in (the very minimum one would think) one has stood dead now for the past four weeks.
If a replacement - as we hear - is to be in the autumn, then that is not good enough from this council.
We don’t want a dead tree standing there all summer.
And in itself what does that say about council landscape management?
Trees can be planted anytime.
This one needs replacing forthwith and complete the improvements Poole council promised in their survey in 2013.
