MAY I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has written, emailed and telephoned us in support of Caring Canines efforts to persuade Bournemouth Crematorium staff to occasionally grant permission for our dogs to attend the funeral services of people to whom they meant so much.
I should also like to extend our thanks to those MPs who have written on our behalf, particularly Tobias Ellwood, our Patron.
Sadly, we have been unable to convince the Superintendent to extend the same compassion that is shown in other crematoriums who welcome dogs in these relatively rare circumstances.
We have made every effort but in the face of such opposition there is nowhere else we can take this.
I would offer, for information to anyone in this position, that Poole Crematorium has always been extremely accommodating in such circumstances.
I should also like to extend our thanks to the Echo for their support in publishing our letters.
