WHILST being disgusted with the sickening way the badgers were disposed of at Bourne Valley (Daily Echo, February 24) and knowing they are a protected species, there was a time a few years back when I willingly would have strangled the ones that continually dug up my award-winning garden a few years back.
There was probably a very good reason why someone did the nasty deed at Bourne Valley, nobody will ever know, but if they had a garden they treasured like mine, and it was continually dug up, I sympathise with them.
I only stopped them by putting wire netting at every available place they were getting in, (they had a ‘sett’ on spare ground near us, now developed), but that is probably not possible with all gardens.
Don’t judge until it happens to you!
