ONCE again, the level crossing on Poole High Street will be closed with no thought about how this will affect those disabled people and mobility users coming in to shop.
This is not the first time this has happened and this lack of thought and care for the elderly, disabled, and mothers with prams or push chairs is not unusual in Poole town centre.
If one needs to shop in Sainsbury’s or visit a bank on the High Street and, as a disabled driver, have parked in the Dolphin Centre, it will be absolutely impossible to get to one’s destination without going round the town.
Why cannot this work be carried out at night? Surely, at some point, somebody who is responsible for these decisions will give some consideration to the pedestrians who will be affected?
Perhaps someone who makes these decisions would like to comment on their lack of thought when doing so?
