HAVING been a keen AFC Bournemouth supporter both home and away since 1986, I have been very concerned this season about the number of moronic idiots among our supporters.

Three times this season my wife and I have encountered foul-mouthed men who have no respect for other supporters.

At Wolves they were standing directly behind us and their vocabulary consisted of five words, four of which are obscene.

At Villa it was so bad I requested a steward for assistance and thankfully they could see that the individuals were itching for confrontation.

Once again on Saturday, it felt like the bad old days of the ’70s. We stood to the side nearer the front in the hope we would encounter more sensible supporters, but unfortunately four of these foul-mouthed persons arrived just before kick-off.

One immediately confronted a father of a small boy who was standing next to the barrier. When we scored, these four pushed and shoved others, causing another small boy to cry because of their moronic behaviour.

I had to visit the conveniences and because of the proximity of the crowd, I walked behind them and received threats.

I’m sure we were not inflicted with these idiots before on cold days at Colchester, fog at Blackpool or snow at Walsall.
