SOMETIMES I get the feeling that modern day living and technology is out to get me.

My new computer, first, will not load installed software. As hard as I try with what basic knowledge I have, my system then finally crashes down on me.

I struggle with it all to my nearest IT shop, explaining all the problems I’ve had.

The guy first switches it on with no sign of any crash. I then tell him about my installed software not loading. He tries and guess what?

It loads without any problems.

It was the very same when not long ago I owned a car. I would have all sorts of serious problems then take it to my local garage and then, lo and behold, everything would work just fine.

I even get similar occurrences with my own body. I suddenly get some awful unexplained pain in either my back, stomach or wherever.

For precaution’s sake, I book an appointment with my local surgery. The first opportunity I have is at least 10 days or more away. So on the day of my appointment, all those past troubles and pains have since long gone away.

On the day, I walk into my doctor’s surgery and they say, ‘How are you?’ I have to truly say, ‘I am fine – how are you?’ It makes me feel like a malingering time-waster in all of these situations.

I just don’t get it.

Why is everything just out to get me?
