Lost medals are returned
On November 12 you published a letter from Mr R Chipperfield who wished to contact the family of my grandmother Primrose Knight and her youngest son Gnr Jim Knight who was killed in September 1918.
As a result of this Mr Chipperfield has sent me my uncle Jim’s medals and a collection of documents and other memorabilia. I have distributed this between my grandmother’s great-great-grandchildren.
I thank you for publishing the original letter and I am very pleased to acknowledge this happy outcome.
