FINDING the write up and pictures of the old Westover Ice Rink on Wednesday, December 3 was delightful.
I used to go every Saturday and more often in the holidays when money would allow.
Such a great bunch there and the shows were wonderful. I went to those from a small child. It was a yearly outing and the holiday visitors loved it.
Roll on some action for a permanent one in King’s Park or wherever.
It is great there is a winter one in the gardens and a temporary one in the BIC but to entice more youngsters to take up this wonderful hobby and encourage talented ones to become professionals, we need a permanent one.
It would be the only one in a large area of the south and would bring many into the town from all over. Drop your youngsters off for lessons or a session and spend your time in town shopping/dining.
Bournemouth is doing very well in entertainment and facilities but there are still some things it needs.
I hope we find a developer who can invest in this. It would be a great success I am sure.
