On Thursday, you featured the case of a builder who was convicted of over-charging a pensioner for work done on her garden.

Since when has giving poor value for money been a crime?

The builder should have been charged with tricking and intimidating a vulnerable old person to obtain money.

This is, of course, very difficult to prove. Whilst I strongly approve of the builder's conviction, I am not entirely happy with the methods used to obtain it.
