RECENTLY at 11.30pm my husband found a labrador wandering by the side of the road.
We phoned the RSPCA, the animal warden – who incidently goes off duty at 9pm – and the police, and none of them could offer any help and asked if we could keep it overnight.
We have a small dog who is nervous around other dogs. When I said ‘well maybe I should just leave the dog outside’, I was told I was being irresponsible.
We kept the dog and someone local realised their dog was missing and now they are reunited.
I can’t believe that there is no one out there to help. I always believed we were an animal loving society, I’m not so sure now.
