YESTERDAY, I had the misfortune to need to walk from Bournemouth Travel Interchange to Bournemouth town centre and beach. What a disgusting welcome to Bournemouth for day trippers or longer stayers.
I used the recommended route, using the roundabout underpass pedestrian walkway.
It was an absolute disgrace with unwelcome beggars, who I found intimidating and ‘gardens’ that were quite simply full of mature weeds and have clearly been untended for some considerable time.
Come on Bournemouth councillors – get off your backsides, go for a walk through this disgusting underpass (visitors don’t all use cars) and get this sorted for the sake of our tourist trade.
I, for one, will not be using that route again and I would advise all others to use an alternative route if possible.
