FURTHER to the ‘bus hub’ ideas in Bournemouth town centre, consideration might be given to tightening up the timetables so that the buses don’t end up waiting very much in Gervis Place.

It wouldn’t be particularly difficult to widen the road there, albeit grabbing a few feet of the sacrosanct gardens.

Gervis Place is a very convenient location for catching buses and has the advantage of being a road (intended for vehicles – it’s what roads do) and not a valuable commercial site that could be generating revenue for the town if the owners were allowed to get on with what they want to do.
