One authority to save more
Your stunning headline ‘Saint John’ (Echo of February 15) features Cllr. Beesley’s decision to freeze overall council tax bills for another year. However, before John Beesley’s halo fits too tight he should realise how much more can be saved by having a single unitary authority for a united conurbation.
The same message applies to all Poole borough councillors, who meet on February 25 will be considering Cllr Elaine Atkinson’s proposal to freeze Poole Council’s tax.
