I REALLY fail to understand why anyone could possibly object to the Boat Shed decking in Poole Park.
It is well designed and professionally built. It looks good and more importantly it gives us an area free of goose poo to enjoy a coffee or a snack.
To Eddie Mitchell’s credit he has chosen to invest a lot of money in a very positive way to all park users’ benefit.
What the heck is wrong with that?
If the Branksome Park, Canford Cliffs & District Residents’ Association want to raise objections they should focus on the council to rid the lake of the now annual attack of the stinking weed.
If it continues for another year we will be lucky to get anyone to invest in catering on the lake’s edge at all.
We should encourage enterprise and positive investment in our parks. It’s all too easy to lose and discourage decent entrepreneurs.
They will simply invest in another business in another town. Leave the decking alone.
