CAN anything be more indefensible than overseas aid to India, which has atomic capabilities, whilst this country cannot defend its citizens from the weather?
Diversion of money to repair the rail link to Cornwall, flood barriers in the upper reaches of rivers and creation of hydro-electricity schemes in Somerset and Avon will bring relief to thousands.
