Why have we dropped the 'Christmas' from pantomime?
Dropping Christmas?
BOURNEMOUTH, it seems, no longer has a ‘Christmas’ pantomime.
According to the illuminated text above the entrance to the Pavilion, there is to be a Winter Pantomime.
Since 1935, according to Hugh Ashley’s Pavilion Celebration Book, each pantomime is listed and prefixed by the word Christmas and the date.
Were the Pavilion management told to eliminate Christmas by the council or have they done this off their own bat?
