I READ last week that Boscombe British Legion may well close unless they sold their building and take a lease to keep going.
As a former president (10 years) of Dean Court Football and Social Club until it was demolished to make way for a new stadium in 2001, a promise was made for space for our supporters club, sadly never fulfilled.
It would be great if Bournemouth Football Club were to purchase the Legion building.
It is large enough to house two clubs, saving the Legion, also to re-establish their old supporters club, run jointly.
An awful lot of water has passed under the bridge, but without the supporters there most certainly will be no stadium or football club today.
At long last I feel, after many ups and downs, we have a good board of directors and, of course, a team to be proud of.
