I was interested to read the letter ‘Information too complex’ from Alan Neate (November 5) calling on Navitus Bay to produce a non-technical summary of its environmental statement.

I wanted to take this opportunity to reassure him and all your readers that this is exactly what we will do when we submit our application to the planning inspectorate next year.

The non-technical summary will distil all the complex, technical information contained in the environmental statement, helping people to understand the potential impacts that the wind park may have on the environment and the mitigation measures that we propose to offset these impacts if required It is important to state, however, that the purpose of this document will be to provide the public and all interested parties with an overview of the main findings of the environmental statement.

It will not contain all the information relating to the project and its potential impacts on the environment. For this, members of the public can refer to the environmental statement.

Navitus Bay is committed to communicating openly and honestly with the public. We hope that the non-technical summary will help people make an informed decision about whether to support the wind park or not. We are always interested in hearing from the public and would encourage them to visit our website or get in touch if they would like to know more.
