OH no! Not another letter whinging about Canford Bottom roundabout (September 18). As a resident of Colehill, I find the "new" roundabout much easier and safer.

Before we had the roundabout, the traffic on the A31 and Wimborne Road used to increase speed straight onto the roundabout, making it very dangerous for those trying to drive off Canford Bottom onto the previous roundabout.

My heart used to be in my mouth when I was towing our caravan, trying to pull out onto the roundabout.

Yes, it took a bit of getting used to the new lanes but for locals who use it regularly it's a vast improvement. I know the lead into the lanes is short, but building a bigger roundabout was probably not economically viable and we have to be realistic in these days of restricted budgets, so with practice you get used to it. It's safer.
