THE recent letter entitled “Driver could have killed all of us” from Deneen Kenchington (June 20) really brought it home as to how little some drivers actually think before engaging in distracting activities.
On Monday, while driving along, I encountered a car coming round a corner heading toward me on the wrong side of the road.
The driver was busy looking to his right and at the last moment saw me.
Had I not already stopped in anticipation of what could be, we would have collided and the two children that were passengers would have had a rather bad start to the week.
That same day, on picking up one of those children from school, I saw a large van with its company logo emblazoned all over it being driven past the school gates where all the children were coming out, by a driver with his head down quite happily texting. What do we have to do to educate these idiots?
