READING the Echo (June 21) giving details on a bus hub, I wonder how long it will all take.
Purchase of the land, plans for the bus station and the development beginning would take a while I guess, so would it not be better to wait and plan the whole bus station. Also many companies could be brought onboard to use space above the bus station(offices etc) as well as on ground level bringing in rents etc.
Another idea would be if Licet are interested in discussions on joining forces with the council on a new development including the bus station.
There must be ways of developing this piece of land on a permanent basis instead of doing things in halves.
