MR A Burridge (Letters, June 13) appears to have misinterpreted my ‘Lost in the post’ letter (June 6), as I whole-heartedly agree with him with regard to the yellow book system.

I was illustrating what has and could occur in the future with such small slips which can be mislaid amongst other mail, as in my case.

There are so many of us on warfarin these days that it is possibly much easier for the phlebotomists and lab staff to use the new system.

As the saying goes ...’ours not to reason why...’!
