QUITE interesting to read a letter (June 4) from a reader in Ferndown complaining a little about the grass verges being a foot high.

Whilst walking over to my local post office and keeping to the pathway as normal, spying the length of grass in the surrounding verges, I was overcome with the urge to meander through the knee-high growth.

It was beautiful, something a bit naughty, thoughts flooding back from my youth reminding me of hot summer’s evenings.

So come on Bournemouth council, leave cutting our verges until October 1 and at least one resident will be pleased.
