TO reassure Marilyn Warburton (‘No friends of the disabled’, Letters May 8), I would like to say that Sedcat (South East Dorset Community Accessible Transport) has been looking at suitable sites for a new Shopmobility unit in the centre of Bournemouth and with adequate funding it is looking as if a unit could well become a reality.
Shopmobility can currently be found at Castlepoint Shopping Park and the Sovereign Centre in Boscombe; for information and updates about Shopmobility in Bournemouth please look online at sedcat.org.uk or telephone 01202 534027. During the weekend of June 1-2, Shopmobility will be coming to Boscombe Pier with mobility equipment for hire. To reserve a scooter/wheelchair, please telephone 01202 534027.
