I ALWAYS so love Faith Eckersall’s column. She always says it how it is and is a reflection, I am sure, of how the majority feel about the topics that she covers. In Saturday’s Echo she talked about the ridiculous way we adhere to the human rights ruling about that awful creature Abu Qatada and his family being allowed to stay in Britain and scrounge from our soft system.

How right she is also to ridicule the representative of Britain’s nurses, Andrea Spyropoulos, for disagreeing with the Health Secretary, saying that a year training as a health care assistant “would be a waste of money” and “no benefit to patients”.

But best of all is the main topic about Luis Suarez and the soft treatment he received for biting another player, because he is a footballer. Were it anyone else, there would be a much more severe outcome.

Included in this she talks about the topic of badly behaved children in nurseries and how the adult world is no representative when bankers have caused a global recession, companies are sheltering money abroad to avoid paying their taxes and footballers get away with almost anything.

If you didn’t get to read this brilliant page then go and buy a back copy or look it up on line. Power to your words of wisdom Faith and why aren’t you running this country? It seems common sense and fairness only lives in your column.
